Plus One Accessory Apartment Program

The Huntington Community Development Agency and the Long Island Housing Partnership invites eligible applicants to apply to the Plus One ADU Program (The "Program"), an initiative to create and improve accessory apartments in the Town of Huntington.

By working with local governments, the Program will provide grant funds and support low- and middle-income single-family homeowner occupants who wish to create a new accessory apartment or improve an existing accessory apartment that needs to be brought into compliance with local and state code requirements.

Funds are provided through the New York State Housing Trust Fund Corporation ("NYSHTFC"). The maximum grant available is $125,000.

The LIHP staff is available to assist with application, and answer questions about eligibility requirements. If you have any questions regarding the Program Guidelines or need language assistance, including translation and/or oral interpretation services, please call the Long Island Housing Partnership at (631)435-4710 before applying.
