The contract for the home rehabilitation program will be let by the homeowner and the contractor. The Community Development Agency will be the third party to the contract and will make the award of the contract to the lowest competitive bidder.

Home Rehabilitation Program Insurance Requirements:

The CONTRACTOR shall carry and require that there be carried by any subcontractors full and complete Workers Compensation Insurance for all of his/her employees and those of his/her subcontractors engaged in work on the CONTRACT PREMISES, in accordance with the local and State laws governing same. The amounts and limits of the public liability and other insurance referred herein, shall be subject to approval of the HUNTINGTON COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY.

The CONTRACTOR shall furnish evidence of a comprehensive public liability insurance coverage protecting the OWNER for not less than $500,000.00 per person with the aggregate of $1,000,000.00 per occurrence in the event of property damage arising out of the work performed by the CONTRACTOR. Said insurance certificate shall contain a "Hold Harmless" agreement which provides, to the extent permitted by law, that the insured shall indemnify and hold HUNTINGTON COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY harmless from and against all claims, costs, losses, and liabilities of whatsoever nature arising out of the act or omissions or negligence of the insured its officers, agents, servants or employees.
