Home Rehabilitation

The Home Rehabilitation Program is a federally-funded program that gives Town of Huntington residents the opportunity to repair and bring their property up to HUD’s Section 8 existing housing quality standards and relevant Town Housing Codes through 3 different programs:

*Deferred Loan Program (0% interest) 
Emergency Grant Program*

Federal Requirements require the applicant to read and sign a copy of the "Renovate Right" booklet (available below) to learn how lead can affect you and your family. The Agency will provide the testing. You will be required to disclose and all findings to any subsequent purchasers, even if you do not go through with the program or if the program funds are insufficient to remove all detected hazards.

Work on your home may include as but not be limited to as follows:

• New Windows and Doors 
• Handicapped Accessibility
• Structural Improvements
• Insulation and Energy Conservation
• New Heating System
• New Roof
• Electrical Improvements
• Plumbing and Cesspool Work
