Disability Parking Permits
Permanent Disability Parking Permits
A Permanent Disability Parking Permit is only available for a “severely disabled person.” To obtain a permanent disability parking permit, proof of Town of Huntington residency must be provided. If the address on your driver's license displays your current Town of Huntington address, that is sufficient.
Alternative proofs of residency can include utility bills, bank statements, and vehicle registration/insurance cards. Please contact the Town Clerk's office if you have questions.
Applications: Please have a New York State Medical Certifier indicate your disability on Part II of the application or provide my office with a letter from your Medical Certifier, dated within the past year, describing your need for a Permit. (A physical examination is not required).
*IF YOU POSSESS A NEW YORK STATE DRIVER'S LICENSE OR NON-DRIVER ID, PLEASE ENCLOSE A PHOTOCOPY WITH YOUR APPLICATION. The last three digits of your driver's license/non-driver ID are placed on the hangtag.*
*Residents of the Incorporated Village of Northport must apply to the Northport Village Clerk's office for a permanent disability parking permit.*
