- Movies on the Lawn – Annual free summer program showing family friendly movies as a drive in at Crab Meadow beach and at Heckscher Park and Peter Nelson Park
- The Hunting-Tony awards recognize and celebrate the talented students who are involved in their high school theatrical productions, and culminates with a ceremony at the John W. Engeman Theater in Northport.
- Spring Eggstravaganza – Celebration of spring for young children with treat filled eggs, arts and crafts, face painting and a visit from a special bunny.
- Halloween Parade – Each Halloween in Huntington, village merchants pass out candy to trick or treaters as part of a safe Halloween initiative. A short parade takes place for parade-goers to show off their costumes as they march through town.
- Sponsors the annual Lenney Peters Jr. Golf Tournament, a popular junior golf tournament at Crab Meadow golf course which promotes youth golf, sportsmanship and a love of the game.
- Held seminar for teens and families to teach the basic skills needed to manage finances as they prepare for and enter college.
- Held Identity theft seminars to raise awareness of methods scammers may use to target elderly and steal their personal information.
- Partnered with the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (LICADD) and the Suffolk County Police to host a substance abuse seminar to discuss ways to prevent addiction and how to communicate with someone who may be struggling with the disease.
- Sponsors the Annual Huntington Tulip Festival. Each fall, the Town plants over 20,000 tulip bulbs in Heckscher Park. This annual community driven event features live entertainment, dozens of booths and of course, tulips in bloom. The event was based on Cuthbertson’s dream to bring more family-oriented events to Huntington.
- Initiated the Town of Huntington’s Community Mural Project, utilizing teen art apprentices from the Huntington Youth Bureau’s Project Excel, who worked under the guidance of a professional artist, to create a vision of sailboats and the Huntington Lighthouse in Huntington Harbor. This huge mural can be seen at the rear of the municipal parking lot on the west side of the 200 block of New York Avenue in Huntington Village.
- Coordinated with the Suffolk County SPCA to provide low cost spaying and neutering to Town of Huntington residents’ pets.
- Co-sponsors the annual Family Earth Day Expo at Town Hall to coincide with the global celebration of Earth Day – typically the third Saturday in April. This encourages and includes e-waste recycling, personal documentation shredding, a green expo and the Touch A Truck Event allowing those present to climb on, touch and learn about the different aspects of trucks displayed.
