The Studios at Huntington Station

The Huntington Office of Film & Television plans to "break the mold" of traditional, plain-box warehouse-style film and TV studios. The plan is to incentivize a developer to build an attractive new film and TV production campus in Huntington Station that matches the surrounding architecture, and welcomes the community to enjoy an 11,000 sq. ft. public garden, art installations, a rooftop green garden, a welcome center with an auditorium and an exhibition space available for cultural and community use.
Construction of the public spaces within the campus exceed the $2 million of the DRI Grant Funds that the Office of Film & Television is requesting. However, the requested funds for Huntington Station would be used specifically to incentivize a developer to build a campus that the Huntington Station community will be proud to add as a landmark of their neighborhood. Additionally the campus will create jobs, and attract visitors and tourists so that Huntington Station is no longer a "place to go through and is now a place to go to".
