Bike Locker Program

In the attempt to promote the use of bicycles and reduce pollution and traffic congestion, the Town of Huntington has been a part of a bike locker program that was implemented by the New York State Department of Transportation back in 2004. Recently the operations of the program have been relinquished to the town at no cost. Residents are welcomed to rent vacant lockers at any of the four Long Island Railroad stations that these lockers are located for a lease term of one year. The lockers are available for a fee to residents. Information is provided on the Town Clerk’s website HERE. Photos of the lockers at two of the stations are provided below.

 * Free of charge bike racks are also available in several of the Town parks including Cedar Park and Koster Park
