Zoning Verification Letters
Purpose
When a Zoning Verification Letter is requested on a property, the staff will perform a search of Town records in order to provide specific information, such as the current/past zoning, applicable zoning district regulations pursuant to Huntington Town Code, Zoning Board of Appeals decisions (approved or denied), whether there are open violations and/or complaints, and whether there are existing non-conformities.
The staff will typically include the following with the letter: a copy of the Building and Housing Site History; a copy of the Zoning Board of Appeals decisions (approved or denied); a copy of the most recently approved site plan and/or landscape plan; and a print-out of the applicable zoning district regulations.
