Boards & Committees

The Huntington Town Board has created a series of boards, committees and commissions to which it appoints resident members who assist the Town Board and the Planning & Environment Department carry out their duty to manage growth and development while at the same time performing the Town's vital stewardship role as the protector of our natural resources.  

In addition to the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals that deal primarily with the decisions related to managing growth and development wisely, the Town has created a series of complementary advisory bodies dedicated specifically to the preservation of open space, maintenance of the Town's natural beauty and cultural and historic identity and caring for and improving Huntington's park lands.
