Home Delivered Meals

Home Delivered Meal Delivery Notice: five (5) frozen meals will be delivered either on Tuesday or Wednesday.  Please call the Senior Center for registration information 631.351.3253.

The Town of Huntington's Senior Division Home Delivered Meals Program was established to ensure that Town of Huntington residents over the age of 60 who are unable to provide for their own nutritional needs receive a nutritious meal. Eligible seniors receive a fully prepared frozen meal equal to 1/3 of the recommended daily allowances for those over the age of sixty.

The five frozen meals from an outside vendor are delivered either Tuesday or Wednesday.  All menus are reviewed and approved by a registered Dietitian at Suffolk County Office for the Aging.

The Nutrition Center is sponsored by the Town of Huntington with funding provided by U.S. Administration for Community Living through New York State Office for the Aging and Suffolk County Office for the Aging. State regulations require that all participants be given an opportunity to contribute to the cost of service. The anonymous and voluntary suggested contribution is $3.00 per meal.
