Cultural Affairs, a division within the Parks & Recreation Department, manages Huntington’s Public Art Initiative as well as certain Town historic properties in connection with its charitable affiliate, the Huntington Cultural Affairs Institute.
The division also supports the Town’s cultural events like the Huntington Summer Arts Festival, as well as its cultural institutions like the Huntington Arts Council and the Heckscher Museum of Art.
Cultural Affairs is also the Town’s liaison with public and private agencies and individuals planning, promoting and overseeing cultural activities undertaken in cooperation with the Town of Huntington.
