Parking Meter Payment Instructions

Follow the instructions on the meter to make an initial payment or extend time at your current parking spot. A few things to note:

• All sales are final. No refunds or change given. Cancel your transaction at any time by hitting the X button or red button (depending on the meter).
• Do not place your receipt in your vehicle. Keep your receipt on you because you can...
• Extend time at any meter. You do not have to go back to your original meter to add time to an existing parking spot.

In July 2019, easier-to-read instructions were added to all of our parking meters in downtown Huntington. There are two types of parking meters in the village: old meters and new meters. Depending on the meter you are paying at, the payment instructions will look like one of the two signs below.

Older meters will display these payment instructions (old meters also appear at the Huntington LIRR Station for on-street parking spaces #100-154 and municipal lot parking spaces #1-68. All other non-numbered spaces at the LIRR station requires a commuter parking permit):
