Huntington
– Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci is reserving a portion of the municipal parking
lot at Huntington Town Hall for people making tax payments in coordination with Receiver of Taxes Jillian Guthman.
“The process of paying taxes can be stressful. I am committed to making that process as efficient and as painless as possible for our residents,” said Receiver of Taxes Jillian Guthman.
“We are
expecting higher numbers than usual due to the tax warrants being delayed by
the county this year, so we are doing what we can to improve traffic flow and make
the process easier for residents,” said Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci. “We have been looking at reserving part of the lot at Town Hall for taxpayers during the tax payment season since last year and I am confident that this will streamline the visit to Town Hall not only for taxpayers but for all other business conducted in the building.”
The entire
municipal parking lot at Town Hall may be used by visitors who arrive at Town
Hall to pay taxes but the small portion of the lot adjacent to Irwin Place will
be marked as reserved for those paying taxes. All residents may enter or exit
the lot from Irwin Place or Jackson Avenue.
