Non-Residents

Non-Resident Commuter Parking Permit Fee is $150 (one hundred fifty dollars).  
The permit expires on September 1
 regardless of the date of purchase

A Non-Resident Commuter Parking Permit is valid in commuter parking areas within the Town of Huntington  excluding Lot #15 (station house lot/daily metered lot) and the Cold Spring Harbor Train StationTo obtain a Commuter Parking Permit by mail, please fill out an application, enclose the required fee and a photocopy of your vehicle registration.
Please make your check payable to Andrew P. Raia, Town Clerk, and mail it to the Town Clerk's Office, 100 Main Street Huntington, N.Y. 11743-6991. 

All payments must be made by check (personal, business, bank or money order).  Cash and ATM/Debit Cards are accepted over the counter. If you choose to use an ATM/Debit Card you will incur an additional $2.50 convenience fee charged by the card processor VitalChek Network that will appear on your monthly bank statement.  Credit cards are accepted for an additional $2.50 up to $62.50; for credit card  transactions above $62.50 the fee is 4% of the transaction fee.  For example a $150.00 Non- Resident Commuter Parking Permit paid with a credit card will incur a transaction fee of $6.00. A penalty of twenty dollars ($20.00) shall be charged to the maker of a check returned for insufficient funds.

Effective August 2023,  as part of a pilot program, the license plate of your vehicle will now be used in place of the sticker that was previously attached to your vehicle window.  Please make sure that the license plate number on your vehicle is the same license plate that was on your application.    

MPORTANT RENEWAL REMINDER: It is incumbent upon you to renew your Commuter Parking permit before the expiration date of September 1.

On April 23, 2012 the Town unveiled five charging stations for electric cars. They are located in the South Parking Garage at the Huntington Station LIRR station. For persons with PLUG-IN ELECTRIC vehicles applying for a Commuter Parking Permit please advise at the time of application.
