IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Beginning on August 1, 2026, NON-resident commuter parking permits can be applied for and renewed online through the Town of Huntington’s parking portal!

TO APPLY/RENEW ONLINE, CLICK HERE: Town of Huntington, NY | Patron Portal | Permits

All individuals who apply online will be required to upload a copy of their vehicle’s registration. If renewing online be sure to select “Next Cycle 9/1/2026 – 9/1/2027,” located towards the bottom of the application screen, as your permit’s term. Your current permit will remain active until September 1, 2026.

If you would prefer to apply/renew in-person or via regular mail, those options remain available. Please provide a copy of your vehicle’s registration at time of application.

Please be advised that if using a credit card to purchase a non-resident commuter parking permit, there will continue to be a $6.00 convenience fee charged by the software vendor.

By applying, you agree to adhere to the Town’s TERMS AND CONDITIONS (see link above) for the purchase/use of a non-resident commuter parking permit.

Additionally, physical stickers are no longer issued, as we have transitioned to a paper-less parking system which is enforced electronically by scanning your license plate.

Permit holders who provide a valid email address at the time of their application will ordinarily receive a courtesy renewal reminder notice via EMAIL approximately 30 days before their permit’s expiration date. Delivery of a renewal reminder is not guaranteed. The permit holder remains solely responsible for renewing the permit before its expiration date and should monitor the email account’s spam or junk folder for the reminder.

We appreciate your patience as we rollout this new system. For any questions about this process, please call my office at 631-351-3206 or via email at araia@huntingtonny.gov.
