Ambulance Squads
This serves two key purposes
- Support for Volunteer Emergency Workers: By offering housing opportunities to these vital community members, we acknowledge the sacrifices they make and encourage retention and recruitment of new volunteers in our fire and EMS services. Volunteering can be a demanding and thankless job, and offering tangible benefits such as housing can serve as a critical incentive.
- Efficient Use of Housing Resources: By incorporating emergency workers into priority housing allocations, the Town can help ensure that these essential services are staffed and operational, while simultaneously addressing local housing needs in an equitable way.
