Purchasing Procedure Modifications:
- Bid/RFP openings will be conducted as scheduled, and public bid openings will resume in July 2021 at Town Hall in Room 209.
- Bids/RFP’s: The majority of the Town Bids/RFP’s can be downloaded online. Please submit your proposals to be received by Purchasing at Huntington Town Hall no later than the date and time indicated in the bid specifications. Additionally, there will be a special mailbox set up in front of Town Hall labeled "Town Hall" for vendors who wish to drop off their bids, which must be delivered in accordance with the date and time specified in the Bid /RFP.
- Bid Specification CD Purchases: Vendors wishing to pay for the purchase of a CD by credit card should email email@example.com requesting to use this means of payment and a member of the purchasing staff will contact you to take your credit card information. There will be a $10.00 charge for the CD plus $5.00 for shipping and handling to send the CD return receipt requested to the address provided in your email. Please make sure you provide a current phone number and indicate which bid you are referring to. Vendors wishing to pay for the CD by check should send their $10.00 check with the requested bid they are interesting in purchasing along with their Federal Express Account number and we will mail out the CD via FedEx. Beginning July 2021, bids may also be purchased for $10.00 in the purchasing office at Town Hall room 209 and there will be no shipping or handling charge.
Purchasing is the division within the Department of Audit & Control responsible for assisting the operating departments of the Town with the purchase of goods and services needed for the Town to carry out its duties and functions.
Purchasing oversees the preparation of bid documents and then issues public bid notices, receives the sealed bids, holds public bid openings, and once opened verifies that bids conform to documented requirements to assure that Huntington is, throughout the acquisition process, in compliance with federal, state and local law and Purchasing Policy as adopted by the Town Board.
