Town Hall is the Town's flagship building, visited by approximately 10,000 residents each month who come to do things like attend board meetings, apply for marriage license, pickup a beach sticker, even to pay a parking ticket.
In addition Town Hall is a three-story building with unobstructed south and west-facing roof lines. In other words, Town Hall was an optimal site for installation of Solar Photo-Voltaic Renewable Energy Generating System installation. The solar panel installation was completed in April 2011. As part of the project a computer screen kiosk was installed next to the reception desk in the Town Hall lobby that provides real-time metering of the energy output. The public can monitor the Town's renewable energy production as it occurs.
