Third Party Notification
Starting with the 1987-88 tax year, New York State began allowing certain taxpayers to designate a third party adult to receive duplicate copies of tax bills and notices of unpaid taxes.
Taxpayers age 65 or older (and taxpayers who are disabled) who own and occupy 1-, 2-, or 3-family residential property are eligible. To participate an eligible taxpayer must designate adult third party to receive the copies of tax bills and notices in writing and the designated third party must consent to such notification.
The application process is a one-time procedure and will remain in effect until the Tax Receiver is otherwise notified by the applicant. Download the 3rd Party Notification Application Form.
