Curbside Yardwaste Collection Rules

Yardwaste will be collected only on a scheduled weeks.

Due to the excessive volume of yardwaste set out between November 1st and December 31st your yardwaste collection day will vary. You will receive a minimum of one collection per week during this time, but that collection may occur on any day Monday through Saturday. Your patience is appreciated during this time.

There is a 10 bag/bundle limit per curbside yardwaste collection. Any amounts exceeding this limit must be held behind the property until the next yardwaste collection week. Yard waste not meeting these specifications or exceeding ten items will deemed a violation and nothing will be collected.

In accordance with the Town code, grass is not included in your curbside collection program. Residents are encouraged to Just Mow It using a mulching mower.

Leaves should be placed in bags or uncovered cans. Branches must be bundled and tied no longer than 2×2×4 feet.

Include:

• Leaves

• Bundled branches

• Brush

• Plant trimmings and prunings

• tree limbs (less than 6 inches in diameter)

Exclude:

• Grass (Bagged grass clippings may be brought to the Recycling Center for a disposal fee of $2.00 per bag. Note: Five bag limit per resident, proof of residency is required ) 

• Stumps

• Sod

• Lumber

• Dirt or Rocks

• Root Balls
