Haiku Huntington (Town-Sponsored)

Haiku Huntington was initiated in 2013 as a SPARKBOOM opportunity presented by the Town of Huntington Public Art Initiative.  SPARKBOOM - a cooperative initiative to create vibrant events and opportunities to foster Long Island's emerging creative talent - is a project of the Huntington Arts Council presented in cooperation with a variety of community partners.  Funding for the 2013 SPARKBOOM project was provided by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.  SPARKBOOM's Lead Sponsorship support was provided by Five Towns College.

Description:   This haiku about an aspect of life and living in Huntington is printed along with an associated graphic design on 12 signs mounted back to back on 6 different lampposts in locations in Huntington Village & Huntington Station.
