Club Officers
Club Officers are selected by club members and serve from April to March. Club Officers help keep a positive and open-minded outlook and encourage cooperation among their members and with the senior citizens of Huntington at large. Every club has nine officers, each having their own area of responsibility.
PRESIDENT: responsible for supervising on-going club programs, presiding at all club meetings and appointing all club committees.
EXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT: responsible for assisting the President and acting in his/her absence.
FIRST VICE-PRESIDENT: responsible for upkeep of membership records, including records of attendance, birthday and illness.
SECOND VICE-PRESIDENT – PROGRAMS: responsible for planning programs for club meetings as well as holiday, installation and anniversary celebrations.
THIRD VICE-PRESIDENT: – TRIPS & TOURS: responsible for planning, organizing and facilitating trips & tours.
RECORDING SECRETARY: responsible for recording the minutes of each meeting and reading the minutes each week.
CORRESPONDING SECRETARY: responsible for handling all club correspondence.
TREASURER: responsible for club financial matters and presenting a financial report at each club meeting.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS REPRESENTATIVE: responsible for attending monthly meetings with representatives of other clubs and Senior Division sites, voting on behalf of individual clubs, and bringing information back to the club.
