Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP)

Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP) provides non-medical services for Huntington residents age 60 and older who are unable to perform home management tasks. Individuals must be above Medicaid eligibility. Suffolk County Office for the Aging (SCOFA) case managers determine an individual’s eligibility, cost share, time allocation and which of the following services will be provided:

• making and changing beds
• dusting and vacuuming rooms used by the client
• light cleaning of the kitchen, including dish washing, clearing refrigerator of spoiled food and spills, sweep and damp mop floor
• light cleaning of bathroom, including clean basin, tub, toilet, damp mop floor
• compiling shopping lists and shopping
• laundry
• light meal preparation
