The Puppet Company

The Puppet Company is a non-profit organization formed in 1977 to bring puppet artistry to the region’s schools, museums and libraries.

The Company’s founder and artistic director Steven Widerman is a professional puppeteer who seeks to bring his art to the worlds of entertainment, education, industry and advertising. With the assistance of woodcarvers, painters and costumers, he has designed and built more than 400 puppets. Steven is known to the public as the voice behind "Al E. Gator" and the master manipulator of "Rocket the Roller Skater" marionette.
