Huntington Men's Chorus
The Huntington Men's Chorus originated with a group of talented vocalists who met with James C. Doty, a music teacher in the Huntington Public Schools, which resulted in the formation of an ensemble that has continuously entertained the people of Huntington for more than a half century. At the first rehearsal in September 1949 when the group adopted its name, James Doty was appointed the Chorus' musical director and Frost Trinklepaugh was elected the Chorus' first president. The Chorus organized itself along the lines of the acclaimed University Glee Club of New York City.
