John W. Engeman Theater at Northport
“Where Broadway Meets Main Street” – the John W. Engeman Theater at Northport is Long Island's only professional year-round theater company that produces and performs hit Broadway shows. The theater is named after Chief Warrant Officer Four John W. Engeman, who lost his life fighting in Iraq in May 2006.
In addition to Broadway performances, the theater hosts summer classes, a children's theatre, a school of performing arts, and private events. The historic Northport Theater built in 1932 was extensively renovated by current owners Kevin O’Neill and his wife Patti, sister of the late John Engeman, before it was renamed.
