Northport Historical Society & Museum
The Northport Historical Society and Museum seeks to preserve and promote the heritage of Northport and surrounding communities of Asharoken, Eatons Neck, East Northport, Fort Salonga and Crab Meadow.
The museum is open six days a week. In addition to its permanent exhibition, the museum offers changing exhibits displaying and interpreting its collection of historic objects, documents, photographs and other materials. In addition to an active education program for school children, the museum maintains a small library for scholars and researchers.
The the Historical Society & Museum is conveniently situated in the landmark 1914 Carnegie Library along Northport’s historic Main Street waterfront district.
