The Vanderbilt Museum’s offers a variety of unique experiences to visitors. It achieves its mission through the thoughtful preservation, interpretation and enhancement of the “Eagle’s Nest” estate, bringing to life Long Island’s Gold Coast Era and the desire of one of the era’s prominent citizens—William K. Vanderbilt II—to promote appreciation and understanding of the marvelous diversity of life, other cultures, and scientific knowledge.
