Project Excel

Project Excel is designed to help youth develop personal, social and academic competencies they need to excel in a variety of settings: school, community, home and the workplace.

Project Excel operates in a safe, disciplined environment, offering academic and job related training to youthful participants, including tutoring, GED classes and interviewing skills workshops. Excel also offers life skills training like inter-personal communication and conflict resolution; and personal development skills training, including critical analysis and problem-solving, and planning for the future. The program also offers training in the arts where youth can explore their creativity and develop artistic talents and abilities, providing another healthy avenue for self-improvement and developing an affirmative self-image. 

Most Project EXCEL programs are free of charge to residents of the Town of Huntington.
