The Department of Waste Management would like to remind all residents about the changes to the collection schedule due to the New Year’s Day holiday. The office is closed on Monday for New Year’s Day. Here is the trash pickup and recycling schedule for the week of January 1 through January 5, 2024.
- On Monday, January 1st trash collection is cancelled due to the holiday. This collection is not being rescheduled. Residents on Monday and Thursday trash pickup routes will be permitted to dispose of twice the amount of household trash on Thursday, January 4th
- On Tuesday, January 2nd trash collection is scheduled for residents on Tuesday and Friday trash pickup routes.
- On Wednesday, January 3rd bottles and cans recycling collection is scheduled for all residents. Please be mindful to use a clearly marked recycling container to avoid confusion during pickup.
- On Thursday, January 4th trash is being collected for residents on Monday and Thursday routes. This double collection day is the only trash pickup this week for residents on these routes.
- And on Friday, January 5th trash is being collected for residents on Tuesday and Friday routes.
Recycling collection begins at 5:00 AM and trash collection at 6:00 AM, please have these respective materials out prior to start time, preferably the night before pickup.
