The Department of Environmental Waste Management would like to remind all residents about the trash and recycling collection schedule changes due to observed holidays in the month of November.
On Friday, November 11th trash collection is cancelled due to the Veteran’s Day holiday. This collection is not being rescheduled. Residents on Tuesday and Friday trash pickup routes will be permitted to dispose of twice the amount of household trash on Tuesday, November 15th.
On the week of Thanksgiving there is no change to the collection schedule before the holiday. There is no trash pickup on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 24th. Pickup after the holiday has moved back one day for all residents. Thursday trash pickup routes will be collected on Friday, November 25th. Friday routes will be collected on Saturday, November 26th. Trash collection may begin as early as 6:00 A.M., so please have your garbage out before this time.
Weekly yardwaste collection is scheduled from November 6th through the end of the year. Residents are advised that due to the excess volume of bagged leaves coming from fall clean ups their scheduled yardwaste collection day may vary from week to week. All residents will receive their weekly yardwaste pick up of ten bags per stop, but it may be any day Monday through Saturday. The Department appreciates your patience during peak leaf collection season.
