Huntington – Supervisor Chad A.
Lupinacci joined professional boxer and Huntington native Chris Algieri at the Book Revue for the
signing of Algieri’s new book ‘The Fighter’s Kitchen’ on Thursday, June 27.
“I commend Chris Algieri for being
able to continue his passion for sports and nutrition while spreading that
knowledge to others,” stated Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci. “Nutrition is an
integral part of a healthy life, and Algieri is our hometown expert.”
Supervisor Lupinacci presented
Algieri with a pin of the Town Seal and a Proclamation on behalf of the Town
Board.
Algieri’s book emphasizes the value
of nutrition in the success of a professional fighter; he provides guidance on
what and when to eat, and explains to readers “how our bodies use what we eat
to burn fat and build lean, strong muscle.” The book includes weekly meal plans
and offers “expert insight on how and when to take full advantage of your
body’s muscle-building capabilities.”
