Suspends On-Street Parking Enforcement for Spaces 700-711 & 747-756 While
Lot is Repaved

- The East Carver Street municipal parking lot will be closed for repaving from
Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 17; at the request of Supervisor Chad A.
Lupinacci, on-street parking enforcement for spaces 700-711 & 747-756 will
be suspended during this time.
Construction
will begin on the interior of the parking lot on Monday, May 6. The entire lot
will be closed for approximately two weeks from this date. The paving project
is scheduled to be completed, and the lot reopened, by Monday, May 20, ahead of
Memorial Day Weekend.
The
Supervisor’s office has requested that the Department of Public Safety, which
oversees parking enforcement, not charge for parking or enforce parking rules
for spaces 700-711 & 747-756 on-street parking spots on East Carver while
the Town’s Department of General Services repaves and renovates the East Carver
municipal lot.
Affected
parking space poles for space #s 700-711 & 747-756 will be covered to
inform parking patrons that normal parking rules won’t be enforced for these
spots. The newly implemented Parking Enforcement Team (PET) has been instructed
not to enforce time/meter violations on affected East Carver parking spots
until the work on the municipal lot is completed.
