Business

The Town of Huntington maintains a robust local economy and a diversity of employment opportunity. This diversity is a key component to a healthy, strong, sustainable community. About a third of our residents working outside the home work somewhere in Huntington, creating a synergy that makes Huntington a very attractive place to live and work.

In addition to downtown business districts in Huntington, Cold Spring Harbor, Northport, East Northport and Greenlawn, the Town has vital commercial corridors along Jericho Turnpike (Route 25), New York Avenue and historic Route 25A.

Huntington’s jewel is the Melville Employment Center. Commercial, financial and industrial employers clustered along the Route 110 corridor in Melville represent the largest engine for jobs and job growth in the region. Melville features Long Island’s big name employers. The Town of Huntington makes every effort to support job creation and make Huntington the place high-quality employers want to call home.
