Instructor: Elena Calderaro

Tai Chi Kung consists of 13 movements. It is one of the simplest forms of Tai Chi and is an excellent choice for seniors because the feet are always “rooted onto the ground,” you never stand on one leg or are required to kick. It is good to develop strength and balance.

Instructor’s Biography: Elena Calderaro has been teaching Tai Chi at the Huntington Senior Center for almost two years. Before the pandemic, she studied under Audrey Biollotat, the Tai Chi instructor at the Huntington Senior Center for over 15 years. Elena always stresses the fact that she is not a Tai Chi Master, but a student also. She has studied under Master Cheng DaShu in Atlanta, GA and Richard Wos, who teaches in Huntington School District's Adult Education Program. Elena enjoys teaching Tai Chi and hopes her students enjoy her classes as well.
