The Order of the Ancient and Honorable Huntington Militia is a historical reenactment organization that recreates and reenacts a Colonial Militia that has existed in the Town of Huntington since its founding in 1653. Men, women, and families with children reenact 18th-Century civilian and military life at local, regional, and national events.
The Huntington Militia is based in the Job Sammis House on the Town's Village Green. This house is also known as the Arsenal, where the militia's powder, shot, and other supplies were stored in the attic just prior to the American Revolution.
