Northport – Officials from the Town of Huntington and the Northport-East Northport School District urge the public to attend their joint press conference on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 4:00 PM at the Northport Cow Harbor Soccer Fields next to the Soundview Boat Ramp in Northport addressing LIPA’s assault on taxpayers and students across our community, joining local government and school officials from across Suffolk and Nassau Counties to expose LIPA’s unbridled ambition to extend its financial attack on all Long Island communities, over 100 school districts and thousands of students, and to urge Governor Andrew Cuomo to enact protections for the Town of Huntington and communities across Long Island facing potentially financially-devastating adverse judgments in LIPA/National Grid tax certiorari challenge lawsuits.
