Local Development Corporation

The Town of Huntington Local Development Corporation (THLDC) was formed in April 2010 under the auspices of New York Not-For-Profit Corporation Law by the Town Board, whose members comprise the THLDC and whose purpose is to enhance local economic development and business opportunities through financing and other incentives to eligible not-for-profits like colleges, universities, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, museums, libraries, social service providers. Favorable financial terms, including mortgage recording and other potential exemptions, can be considered.
