Town of Huntington - Highlights

10/6/2016 - Huntington Recognizes Employees Marking 30th Anniversary

The Town of Huntington held a special luncheon September 30 to recognize some long-time Town employees, highlighting the contributions of 27 workers who in 2016 mark their 30th anniversary with the Town.

Fourteen Town departments were represented at the luncheon, led by Highway, with seven employees, followed by Environmental, with six, and General Services, with four. Departments each with one recognized employee were Assessor, Community Development, Dix Hills Water, Engineering, HART Bus, Information Technology, Maritime, Personnel, Planning and Public Safety.

At the luncheon, Supervisor Frank P. Petrone, Town Council Members Mark Cuthbertson and Tracey A. Edwards and Town Clerk Jo-Ann Raia each thanked the employees for their dedication to the Town and its residents. (Council Members Susan A. Berland and Eugene Cook were unable to attend). The employees each received a proclamation from the Town, signed by all the Town Board members.

This was the second year the Town held a luncheon to recognize long-time employees. In 2015, the Town noted the contributions of 61 workers who had been with the Town for 30 or more years, including 15 who marked their 30th anniversary in 2015; another 15 who marked theirs in 2014; and 31 who had been with the Town for 32 or more years.
