Golf Advisory Committee

The Town Board re-established the Golf Advisory Committee at the May 29, 2019 meeting to hear community input, provide guidance and advice to the Departments of Parks and Recreation and General Services in matters pertaining to the operation and maintenance of the Crab Meadow and Dix Hills Golfs Courses, and submit written recommendations to the Directors of the Departments as necessary.

The Golf Advisory Committee is comprised of nine members and three ex-officio (non-voting) members: five (5) members, each appointed by a Town Board member, who shall serve without compensation for a term coterminous with that of the appointing Town Board member; up to four (4) members of the Dix Hills and Crab Meadow Golf Course Leagues; the Directors of the Departments of Parks & Recreation and General Services, and the Town Attorney, or their designees, shall be ex-officio, non-voting members. Committee members shall appoint a Chairman and Vice Chairman by majority vote for 2 year terms or to the end of their term, whichever is less.
