Harborfields Community Playground Design Plans

In May 2017, the Town and the Harborfields School District signed a 10-year agreement under which the Town will care for the open space behind the Harborfields Library, known as Pickle Park. In addition to maintenance and general upkeep, the Town agreed to design a new handicap accessible Community Playground with the Town and School District agreeing to split the estimated $400,000 construction cost.

Huntington Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci and Councilman Mark Cuthbertson unveiled the conceptual design plans, which will be posted on boards for public viewing in the lobby areas of Town Hall, the Harborfields Library and the Harborfields School District Adminstration Building. The design is intended to make the playground accessible for children of all abilities. The Town is asking interested members of the public to offer comments prior to finalizing the design plans.
