Town Skate Parks are Open to Town of Huntington Residents Only

Greenlawn Skate Park

Address: Corner of Broadway and Cuba Hill Road, Greenlawn, NY 11740 

Part of Greenlawn Park, the 9,200 square foot Skate Park was designed with input from users and accommodates all skill levels from beginner to advanced, for use by rollerbladers, scooters, skateboarders and BMX Bikers. 

The Skate Park features such challenges as grind boxes, wedges, rails, spines, ramps, sub boxes, quarter pipes, and half pipes ranging up to eight feet in height.

Skate Park Rule: all skaters must WEAR ANSI or SNELL approved Helmet, (Kneepads, elbow pads, and wrist guards are optional.) including shoes and a shirt.

Veterans Skate Park


This skate park can be used by rollerbladers and skateboarders. (BMX bikes and scooters are prohibited).

 

Address: Bellerose Avenue, East Northport, NY (between Larkfield and Old Bridge roads)

The Skate Park, built by premier skateboard design companies Site Design Group and California Skate Parks, includes both street and vertical bowl areas. The first is a plaza-type design that consists of various ramps, stairs, handrails, and low-box features including pump bump rollers, stairs with hubbas and handrails, a pier 1 ledge, banked hips, hubba ledges, euro gaps and small wall rides and quarter pipes. 

The vertical area consists of two bowls. The first is a 3' elevation amoeba bowl with pool coping and tile with depths of 6.5', 7.5', and 10'. The second vertical bowl is a flow course, which varies in depth from 6.5' – 8.5'. There is a 6.5' deep area with a half pipe area and an oververt (over vertical) pocket and hips and concludes at a bowl at a depth of 8.5'.

Important Note to Users

  • Must have Resident Recreation ID Card to enter Skate Park; children ages 6-12 may enter with Parent’s Recreation ID Card.
  • Skateboarding and skating are hazardous recreational activities. Use of these facilities may result in injuries. Any use of these facilities is at your own risk. The Town of Huntington does not assume any responsibility for injuries.
  • Both parks will be closed when the equipment/apparatus is wet. Call 631-351-3089  Monday – Friday for opening status.
  • Skaters under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times while the skater uses the skate park.
  • Children under the age of 6 are not allowed in the skate park.
