Crab Meadow Beach – “Drive-In”

On Thursday, July 24TH, we’re going back to the Crab Meadow Beach drive-in, as the Town of Huntington’s Movies on The Lawn Program continues with – BACK TO THE FUTURE

"This is great family entertainment. Pack up your picnic supper, blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy this summer's movie line-up,” said Councilman Mark Cuthbertson. " Our thanks to Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Jonathan’s Ristorante of Huntington Village and LaCasa at Crab Meadow Beach for co-sponsoring this year’s line-up.”

Back to the Future: Marty McFly is accidentally sent 30 years into the past in a time traveling DeLorean invented by his friend Doc Brown and must make sure his high school-age parents unite in order to save his own existence. Will Marty make it back in time? Find out on July 24th. Come early to see a great collection of DeLoreans, compliments of the Long Island DeLorean Club

For our last movie of the summer, we will be heading toPeter Nelson Park in Huntington Station (located next to Stimson Middle School on Oakwood Road) on Monday, August 18th for the 1977 classic – Close Encounters of the Third Kind. This is about Roy Neary’s encounter with UFO’s and his journey to an isolated area in the wilderness where something spectacular is about to happen.

All movies begin at darkness (approx. 8:30pm). It is suggested that you pack lawn chairs, including the drive-in performances, in the event the drive-in lot fills early. Overflow parking is available and bus service brings people and their belongings to the beach.

In the event of inclement weather, performances will be held indoors at the ELWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL Auditorium, 478 Elwood Road, Elwood and begin at 7:30 pm. Check the website for up to date information on performances: www.HuntingtonNY.gov or call Councilman Mark Cuthbertson at 631-351-3112.
