12/7/2017 - Fourth Annual Holiday Pet Food Drive is Underway
Councilwoman Susan A. Berland and the Huntington Youth Council proudly sponsor the 2017 Holiday Pet Food Drive. Donations of new, unopened and non-expired cat and dog food and other pet products will be accepted at nine drop-off locations throughout the Town of Huntington. This year there is a particular need for cat food, but all pet products are welcome, including pet toys and other items such as collars and leashes.

From now until Friday, December 15th, donations can be dropped off at:

Huntington Town Hall – 100 Main Street, Huntington, NY 11743
Huntington Animal Shelter – 106 Deposit Road, East Northport, NY 11731
Cold Spring Harbor Library – 95 Harbor Road, Cold Spring Harbor, NY 11724
Dix Hills Ice Rink – 575 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, Dix Hills, NY 11746
Doggie Don’s Long Island Pet Center – 128 Laurel Road, East Northport, NY 11731
East Northport Animal Hospital – 285 Larkfield Road, East Northport, NY 11731
Half Hollow Hills Community Library – 55 Vanderbilt Parkway, Dix Hills, NY 11746
Harborfields Public Library – 31 Broadway, Greenlawn, NY 11740
Selmer’s Pet Land – 125 East Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station, NY 11746

All items will be donated to Baxter’s Pet Pantry at the Harry Chapin Food Bank and Humanitarian Center at Long Island Cares in Huntington Station.

Berland. “Thanks to local businesses and Huntington residents, this pet food drive continues to be a successful charitable tradition in the Town of Huntington. It is a pleasure to once again support Baxter’s Pet Pantry at the Harry Chapin Food Bank and Humanitarian Center at Long Island Cares.”
